SENSe Impact Lead
Shanthi is a researcher and implementation scientist who has over 25 years of experience in health, social and human services research and implementation. Shanthi is currently leading the implementation of the Framework to Assess the Impact of Translational health research (FAIT) within two NHMRC Centres for Research Excellence, NSW Ministry of Health and various other projects and programs of work. As a Post Doctoral Fellow in Health Economics and a Conjoint Fellow of the School of Public Health at the University of Newcastle, she is making significant contributions to the interdisciplinary area of Research Impact Assessment (RIA) and Research Translation (RT) – relatively new but growing disciplines. This includes a major role in scholarship (presentations and publications), research (RIA in two CREs) and building RIA and RT capacity of Australian researchers through workshops and direct mentoring.
